  • Counselling

A trauma informed and mental health Counsellor with extensive experience in family violence and sexual assault, both in private practice and not-for-profit organisations. Working within single session, short-term and longer term therapeutic frameworks, I offer client-centred support and evidence based interventions.

I have worked with a range of clients who have faced alcohol and drug addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety and other mental health concerns, and grief and loss.

More specifically, with adolescents who use violence in the home, and their families, women and young people who have experienced family violence and/or sexual assault, and co-facilitated mens behavioural change groups for men who have used violence.

Fees for counselling are $130 per 50 minute session and concession rates are available upon discussion.

  • Supervision

A supervisor of students, graduate and experienced mental health practitioners offering individual and group supervision.

Currently contracted with Monash University supervising students in the Masters of Counselling program (both in Australia and Singapore), as well as private supervision.

Supervision is provided remotely supporting you from where ever you reside or work. My approach is person-centred, trauma informed and is guided by the needs of the supervisee.

Group supervision is reflective and based in curiosity supported by evidenced based research.

Fees for individual supervision are $140 per 50 minute session and new graduate rates are $100 per 50 minute session for the first six months.

Group supervision is $130 per 120 minute (2hr) session and groups are limited to 5 participants.

Please contact Georgina directly regarding organisational supervision.

  • Management, Teaching & Facilitation

Management experience includes leading multi-disciplinary teams of therapeutic practitioners across brief, short and long term family violence programs. Delivering evidenced-based, trauma-informed mental health services to women, children and their families.

Offering staff support, individual and group reflective practice, risk management, building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, systems improvements, process review and re-development and program design.

Having an in depth understanding of family violence for both the victim survivors and men who choose to use violence, my management style is measured, calm, responsive and compassionate. This enables me to work in environments with serious risk and make fast paced decisions for the safety, intervention and support of women and children.

Additionally I teach in vocational learning:

    * delivering the course Recognising and Responding to Sexual Violence with RMIT University.

    * delivering units in mental health and community services at TAFE.
